Breakthrough Marketing Leader

Owns and leads the IS Smart Connected Breakthrough initiative from a Marketing perspective.  Duties also include; overall Marketing direction of the BT team, goal setting with Proj Mgr and R&D leader, reporting progress to IS leadership.  Role also includes Strategic Marketing and Business Development activities, with a focus on driving sales and business objectives, in a “Start-Up” environment.  Oversee of market identification, market segmentation, value proposition creation, pricing decisions, packaging and marketing communications.  Provides information on competitive offerings, customer information gathering and sharing, ROI and revenue projections.  Must be able to come to conclusion and recommendations for the BT team and IS business, for the BT path forward. 

 Develop/maintain database of competitive information, including competitive product matrix, pricing, and strengths and weaknesses of competition.  Some written and oral presentations to upper management on activities.  Development and delivery of Sales presentation and training, Marketing Plan Presentations.

This position must find innovative ways to meet customer demand while considering the overall cost of doing business. Drive innovation requirement for product development, creative promotions and value-added services to maintain competitive advantage.  Multiple levels of analysis must occur with sales trends, profitability, ROI, industry, market trends, product, applications.  Nature of decisions range from “strategic” to “tactical” to “product-oriented”.

B.S. in Business, Marketing.
3 years’ of experience in product management or strategic marketing.  


Strong and demonstrated leadership ability required.  
Familiarity with product development process required.  
Strong knowledge of marketing analysis techniques required.  
Working knowledge of standard business practices, including planning, finance and performance metrics required.  
Good communications skills required.  
Strong planning and project management ability required.  
Strong analytical skills required.  
Good relationship-building skills required.
