Documentation Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Documentation Manager within our New Zealand business. This role is based in Auckland reporting to the Process and Document Control Manager and you will be responsible for the management of documentation associated with key customers including as-built records, processes, training, reports and standards including engineering technical standards. You will also be required to assist with the production and delivery of technical training to Honeywell staff and clients.

Further detailed responsibilities will include: management of documentation resources in accordance with management guidelines; ensuring standards for documentation, including templates are established, maintained and adhered to by the wider team; provision of leadership, guidance and training to the wider team to support the production of high quality documentation; ensuring appropriate document management systems are implemented and used and promotion of best practice documentation processes and tools.

You will work closely with Engineering Managers, Project Managers and Engineers to ensure documents required by Honeywell and/or the customer are produced in a timely manner and to standard and you will also work closely with the project teams and other subject matter experts to assist with the production of training material, technical and user manuals.

To succeed in this exciting role you will ideally hold formal qualification in Communications, Technical Writing, Management, or equivalent industry experience. Formal qualifications in electronics/telecommunications and in training, particularly in relation to technical systems will also be favourably looked upon.

 You will demonstrate credible experience in documentation management ideally in technical/ engineering project management based environments and you will be helped by your expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; your knowledge of information mapping technical expertise; your understanding of standards and practices including ISO9001, ITIL and your expertise with document management systems.   You will also have leadership, negotiation and influencing skills and demonstrate an ability to take both a hands-on and a strategic view.
